After living in the home for a few years, the family of seven was looking to enhance the property by refreshing the exterior and creating a more functional interior. The new Colonial Revivalist architectural design elevated the homes existing character.

New mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems were just part of the renovation and reconstruction. New, energy-efficient windows were installed to showcase the views of the lake, while portions of the roof were reframed, floors and walls reinforced, and the original wood-burning fireplaces were revived and made operational again.

The design of the light pink exterior, characterized by brick and stone accents, continues inside with pink interior doors and brick flooring in the entry, while extensive millwork details can be found both inside and out.

The home now boasts five bedrooms and bathrooms, an owner’s ensuite featuring a hot/cold plunge tub and sauna, an enlarged kitchen with fireside dining, 180-degree views of the water, an expansive parlor, and lake room. The outdoor kitchen and massive stone patios are perfect for hosting and taking in the majestic views.

With the exception of two original staircases, both the main and second levels received full interior overhauls and additions. Influenced by traditional European design with an art deco twist, and a whimsical personality, the home is adorned with color, texture, and patterns, including nine different paint colors, 12 wallpapers, and 20 different moldings.

Other ornate details range from handmade tiles and marble flooring and countertops to rich walnut cabinetry, paneling, and custom floral and velvet valances. Intricate ceiling elements including several medallions, a vintage cherub mural, and a beautiful gold-painted ceiling in the parlor inspire interest and intrigue at every turn.
